Mariah Carey's New Album: E=MC2

Find out if it's worth listening to.

Four words. Don't expect too much. Seriously. If you keep this four-word mantra in the back of your mind, then Mariah Carey's latest album, E=MC2 is not a total disappointment, and can be enjoyed.

Before I tell you why I say this, let me say that I am from the Mariah Carey, Backstreet Boys, 'NSync, and TLC generation, when you didn't have to pretend to like music that you secretly didn't, in order to fit in with the mainstream music taste. They were good times. Back then, Mariah Carey's music a little generic, but it was excusable because her voice was phenomenal.

The album has an overall ditzy vibe. "Touch My Body" was indeed the right track for the first released single for this album, because other than one or two songs on the album, there is an over all message that says: "Ooooo, I am so so hot, you will never be as hot nor shall you ever experience anyone hotter." It's a far step away from previous albums. It seems that Mariah Carey is still hasn't learned her lesson from "Glitter." However, even some of the lyrics for "Glitter"'s songs were better written than "Touch My Body." Mariah Carey does get credit for writing her songs though, but the quality of her lyrics are going down, and the rhymes are becoming less surprising.

she the boom
Wowwww are u serious????? I love the album. Side effects is my
favorite song. Great album. E=MC2 is a must buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My idol has always been Brian Littrel from the Backstreet Boys
because of his faith and inspiration from being a Christian with
the Lord Jesus Christ.
i thought it was so-so. not her best but not her worst. but
definitely no reason to bash the writer of the review. anyone is
welcome to write a raving review if they want :)
Whoever wrote this is stupid, I bought it. It's not as good as the
last one but I still like it. U dont need to bash on her, lets see
u write some music, and now a days everyone writes in the "text
message-ish" way, and so what if her songs r about being hot? its
meant for u to sing and make u feel better....ugh.... im sick of
one minded people.
wow, i didnt expect such a negative review.

i actually like the album alot.
what a terrible review.
