5. Mama - Spice Girls

This is by the Spice Girls, and yes, it may feel like it came from the Stone Age, but it's the perfect song for moms! It works, especially if you're a girl giving this to your mom. It says "Sorry I caused so much trouble, but I really do love you." Moms need to hear things like that, because they work really hard to raise you, even though you can't always see eye to eye.

6. The Perfect Fan - Backstreet Boys

Some of these artists may make you want to upchuck, but the truth is, this is music that is easy on the ears, and because of that, your mom will actually listen to it! That's the goal here, by the way. No one, no one, can deny the catchiness of this boyband.

7. Because You Loved Me - Celine Dion

This song is used between couples, but the words apply really well to moms. It can be interpreted as a thank you to your mom for always helping you through anything that was difficult for you.

8.Wind Beneath My Wings - Bette Midler

Every mom wants to know that this is how her kid feels about her! This song is not so much of thank you song, but is more of a 'You're my inspiration that leads me to achieve all my dreams.' Your mom will likely recognize this one too.

9. You Raise Me Up - Josh Groban

This is actually a gospel song, but the instrumental beginning is very moving. Josh Groban has a very powerful voice that adds to the spiritual feeling the song has. In a way though, connections with moms are so deep they can be spiritual.

Glad to see The Perfect Fan by the Backstreet Boys on the
list...although I would have loved to see them place higher.
