As Idol dwindles down to the big finale, the heat is on for the remaining contestants to step up their game. This week was extremely challenging for some, as Broadway superstar producer Andrew Lloyd Webber paid the group a visit. Being awfully blunt unlike most other mentors was truly refreshing, and overall most of the idols scored in their performances, while two in particular didn't quite make the grade. But did the worst get sent home this week?
David Archuleta
As I've been saying in previous editions, David is going to either be the winner or the shock pre finale boot. When it was his turn to perform, he took his song and decided to pep it up in comparison to the original version, but for me fell a bit flat. While I have constantly waited for him to show his age and have fun, Broadway night isn't exactly the best one to change the styles of the song. "Think of Me" is a romantic song that he made sound like an old time crooner's standard hit. Even the judges seemed to agree while it wasn't his best performance; he was still going to be fine, which of course he was.
