For those who may have seen the final five Idol, I ask you, what just happened? Was that not the fastest hour of television ever produced, as well as one of the oddest shows in Idol history? Between songs that lasted about one minute each and one of Paula's greatest mishaps ever, something was off about Neil Diamond week, and it wasn't just the program.
David Cook
I've said it before, and I will say it again, David does not need this program anymore to have a successful career. He's gone from cannon fodder to even top David Archuleta as the possible winner, and every week performs songs that would make for amazing tracks on his debut album. Even his bootleg download on Amazon.com is outselling other popular artists, so if he can keep the momentum up, he's sure to have a great post-Idol career. Neil Diamond claimed to have felt chills when hearing his performance "I'm Alive," and the tribute to his sick brother (the "AC" on his jacket and guitar) was a nice small tribute. It may be an early prediction, but I'm calling a final two of the two David's that will be just as big of a showdown as season 2's Ruben vs. Clay.
