There are many ways to please a mom on Mother's Day. My mother personally likes the usual combination of flowers and something nice from Bath and Body Works. I've found that she's also willing to accept chocolate, jewelry, and offers to help out with the chores. However, in a world that has begun to completely revolve around technology, what would be one gift that wouldn't wilt, isn't edible, and could be enjoyed over and over again? How about a DVD!The DVD I would like to endorse is Ever After, which came out in 1998. I bought this movie as a Mother's Day gift years ago on VHS and my mother was nothing short of thrilled; Ever After has remained one of her favorite movies since it came out.
The movie, which stars Drew Barrymore and Angelica Huston, begins with the Brothers Grimm paying a visit to the Grande Dame of France, who invited them there in order to set their fairy tale about Cinderella straight. The Queen tells them that Cinderella did at one time live and that her name was Danielle De Barbarac. Danielle, forced into being a slave in her own home after the death of her father, works daily to keep up with her step-mother and step-sisters.
