Hanson

The Walk, the fans, and the rock 'n roll.

The band welcomed the energy with open arms, encouraging everyone to get even crazier. And perhaps that fueled their vigor to pound a little harder on the keys, strike the drums with a bit more oomph and give new meaning to the electric guitar. On songs like "Can't Stop," "Crazy Beautiful" and "Blue Sky," it's obvious that the guys have grown seamlessly into maturity and pure rock and roll. Each member has mastered his instrument, and their voices have a smooth edge to it that pulls them out of bubblegum pop and earns them their own place in the indie pop/rock world.

The show was divided into three main parts that began and ended with up-tempo-get-on-your-feet-and-groove songs. They slowed things down a bit with an intimate acoustic set that included an accapella version of the gospel song "In My Life" showing off just how good their voices were. Hanson also threw some old school tracks and performed "A Minute Without You" and "Where's the Love." Of course, it wouldn't be a Hanson show without performing the song that put them on the map, "MMMBop." With a slew of albums under their belt, Hanson could've probably played all night. But they finally ended their set the same way they began with a raw encore of "Great Divide," using their most powerful instrument - their voices.

Perhaps it was the fans or maybe the mix of fast and slow tracks they performed. But one thing's for sure, Hanson has proved they're not just another boy band.
