There may have been rain in the forecasts and new mall construction cause some obstacles and traffic. But that didn’t stop the thousands of rock/emo/punk kids of all ages (Yep, there were some moms and dads, too.) decked out in their favorite band’s t-shirts and hoodies with their favorite pairs of Converse or Vans from filtering into the Giants Stadium parking lot to experience some good music. From big names like Snoop Dogg, Coheed and Cambria and Jimmy Eat World to not-so-known bands like Virginia boys Sparky's Flaw and Rhode Island’s Zox, there’s something for just about anyone. That’s perhaps the beauty of the show – surround people with so much music that you’re bound to gravitate toward one of the stages that frame the general festival area.
But just in case the band on stage at the time isn’t what you’re into, there were more than 60 vendors selling everything from band merchandise to jewelry. For those who were having a bad hair day could visit Salon Bangles’ booth and get a new do for only $35. Attendees could try out some of the new products from Sony Playstation, Major League Baseball and cell phone brand Nokia. And if you think that’s all Bamboozle’s got, they hit you with carnival rides including a sweet Ferris wheel.
Of course, that weekend was about the music. And even though it was hard to see every act, the crowd’s reactions at each stage proved that the bands brought the energy that their fans were expecting to see.

Ive been going to bamboozle since BEFORE it was bamboozle ..when it was surf n skate.
And this has to be the worst article Ive ever read on the show.
You clearly were NOT there for both days along with the fact that you cant just cover a story on a concert that you have never covered before without going into the history of it.
You mentioned THREE smaller bands when there were a lot better bands that played, who were also small, that deserve mention.
And you mentioned NOTHING about the hardcore/metal genre bands that played.
Or about the fact that Finch played after they have been broken up for years.
Or how there were secret bands like Mae and Say Anything.
Or about how Vinnie Caruna from I am the Avalanche played a set of Movielife songs, a band that broke up a few years ago, with Set Your Goals as a background band.
Or how TWO bands broke up this year and that Bamboozle was their last shows. Those bands would be The Receiving End Of Sirens and The Starting Line.
This article should be removed.

Bamboozle 2008 was amazing!! I was right up from for the Audition + yes they are great performers. I didn't stay for Jack's because it was S0 C0LD saturday night, but Andrew always puts on a good show. If you ever get the chance to see them as the headliner, go! They are incredible. <33

Also, SoCo = amazing. I saw Jimmy Eat World + Paramore play a few weeks ago. Honestly as much as I love Jimmy Eat World, their live show isn't that great. It's definitely enjoyable regardless, but there isn't much energy going on.

I am so bummed that I couldn't go to Bamboozle. It'd definitely be a great experience, and I'm stoked for Warped this summer. :)
