Shenella (Mom)

It's really important that a girl is polite. She doesn't have to be running around saying "please" and "thank you," but polite in the sense that she greets everyone, because I would think it was rude if she just sort of stood there as my son introduced her.
Avi (Guy)
Whoa, if my mom doesn't like a girl, the relationship just won't last. I used to ignore her advice, but then I found out, she's usually right! If I'm taking a girl to meet my mom, it's important that she acts comfortable in my home. Sometimes, girls act nervous, as if the couch has a disease, but I know my mom likes it if a girl looks at home and relaxed. (That said, don't put your feet up on the furniture!) Oh, and don't talk in a way that makes you look ditzy! And show that you like her son by saying good things about him, even if she says bad stuff.
Indira (Mom)

Eye contact is important to me, because it shows that someone is sincere when they can look at you when they are speaking. It's how I tell if my son is going to be dating a nice girl versus one who may not be so nice to him. It also shows that they are confident, and I like to see that in any girl!
