A few months ago, we picked the brains of the developers of Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed to try and get an understanding of why their foul-mouthed alien, Cryto, thinks humans would make great hot dogs. We finally spent some time with the game, but we still don't get the whole people and sauerkraut thing. Anyway, here are our thoughts on the new game.

To get you caught up, the story behind Destroy All Humans began fifteen thousand years ago when an alien race made a pit stop on Earth and mated with "proto humans", resulting in the human race as we know it today. But the Furons were a warring bunch, and after thousands of years of being exposed to radioactive weapons, they became sterile. Human DNA is their only option for cloning and furthering the race, so a ship is assigned this task but ends up crashing in Roswell New Mexico in the 1950's, setting the stage for the first Destroy All Humans. Human harvesting continued into the 60's, and the game's sequel was born. To deal with the body count from the first two games, the aliens set up a fast food restaurant that turns humans into protein-rich wieners in Big Willy Unleashed. Yum!

The first thing you'll notice about this game is its peculiar sense of humor. Your character, the gun wielding alien Crypto, is guided by the voice of his mentor Pox, but the two are constantly bickering. It's good to have guidance in this game though, because using the Wiimote and Nunchuck to guide Crypto's movements are a little tricky at first, but a lot of fun once you figure them out.
