Jason Castro - The Gracin

It was so obvious Jason did not want to be doing this anymore. He looked bored, messed up the words to a song he claimed to have loved, and unfortunately was out of his league with the remaining singers. Many wanted an all guy final three for the first time in the history of the show, but even Paula stated in an interview after his boot that Jason really was done with the show and wanted to go back home with his girlfriend. Even if he did win, Castro probably would have been a hard sell just like winner Taylor Hicks. His music is pretty much like Jack Johnston, which while good, only appeals to some people, not everyone. Jason had a good run and provided many laughs, most notably not knowing that a cat performed the song memory in the musical named "Cats." Will he be releasing a CD anytime soon? Probably, and he may have some success in the indie market, but overall chances of nationwide fame are slim for this dreaded rocker.

Idol Thoughts
-Paula seemed much healthier this week and didn't seem to mess up much. She was probably still embarrassed by last weeks flub and tried extra hard to make up for it. Good job Paula.
-I hate the mosh pit. The arm waving, the screaming to interrupt the judges, the high pitched squeals...please, make it stop.
-Maroon Five's performance was horrible, just as it was the last time they were on this show. I seriously do love the band, but why is it when they're live on this show they sound awful? Is it a side deal so that everyone thinks the kids on the show are better and will buy their albums?

That's it for this week, and we're two weeks away from having a winner. Will it an a David showdown, or can Syesha creep her way in to the finals? Clive Davis will emerge from hiding to sit in and guest judge, so get ready for a brutal and exciting week of American Idol.
