Concert lines always cause a decent amount of traffic, especially in New York City, but the line never seemed to end when the Honda Civic Tour rolled into town. Waiting on line, kids beamed with excitement and anxiously waited to file into the Roseland Ballroom on May 8.
Now in its 8th year, the Honda Civic Tour still has the same fire it had when Blink-182 kicked off the tour in 2001. California's own Phantom Planet, jazzy rockers The Hush Sound and the jubilant no-holds-barred Motion City Soundtrack were on this year's bill, headlined by eclectic pop-rockers Panic at the Disco.
As people filled the Ballroom, fans were treated to the funky singer-songwriter Doug, signed to Decaydance. Others checked out the band merchandise while the green organization Reverb's Ecospot passed out limited edition concert programs and chances to win a signed guitar. There was also an opportunity to win a Honda Civic Hybrid personalized by Panic at the Disco, which you could also enter on the tour's Web site (https://civictour.honda.com/sweepstakes/index.aspx?default=true). No matter which band the audience was there to see, there was no doubt that it was going to be one amazing night for music.
