Regardless of whether or not you've closely followed the books and the previous movie, Prince Caspian has a few things that should reel in even the most skeptical movie-goers: adorable talking animals, an epic castle siege, and of course, the hunky lead role of Prince Caspian himself, played by worthy newcomer Ben Barnes.
Our story begins 1,300 years after the first movie, with the birth of Prince Caspian's cousin who appears to be King Miraz's (Sergio Catellitto) preferred heir to the throne. Now he just needs to pull off killing the rightful heir, Caspian, in his sleep. Unfortunately for Miraz, Caspian gets tipped off by the kindly Doctor Cornelius (Vincent Grass) who hands him a magic horn and tells him to use it only in his greatest time of need. After being chased down by Miraz's men, the Telmarines, and coming face-to-face with some angry dwarves, Caspian decides that his time of need is now.
The horn summons the kings and queens of old, Peter (William Moseley), Edmund (Skandar Keynes), Susan (Anna Popplewell), and Lucy (Georgie Henley), who get tossed into a very unfamiliar looking Narnia. In this Narnia there are wild animals who don't talk, humans who weren't there before, and Aslan is nowhere to be found (unless you ask Lucy, who insists she's seen him).
