Looking Back At The Hits

A recap to get you in the mood for summer.

Memorial Day isn't just a holiday to make you feel patriotic. It's also the day when spring turns to summer! Every year, Memorial Day is a celebration of change, especially the kind that we all love to make. So say goodbye to your winter jacket. Switch that hot tea order to an iced latte. And don't forget to pull that bike out of the back of your garage and dust off those nasty cobwebs.

But Memorial Day is more than just getting in touch with the outdoors. It also means that you should be gearing up for the hottest summer hits of 2008. Before you and your friends start choreographing a routine to your soon-to-be favorite smash, you should take a minute to reflect on the songs that dominated the airwaves the past couple of months. And don't worry. If you've ignored the radio recently, then have no fear. Here's some songs that had a huge impact this season.

Sara Bareilles - "Love Song"

Even if you haven't been listening to the radio, this song was still unavoidable. Your mom probably even likes it. And how could she not? Bareilles is an adorable performer, and "Love Song" is as catchy as they come. It's hard not to sing along to that infectious chorus, bop your head to the vamping piano refrain and chuckle at her "no frills" attitude. This one is the perfect warm-up song for summer, so don't feel guilty if it's still on your iTunes playlist when the weather gets nice.

I like these songs, but a few are just SO annoying now because
they are played so much.
No good at all. I liked Love Song originally, but now it's
everywhere and I'm just tired of hearing it. Same with Bubbly,
although the rest of Colbie Caillat's album is pretty good.

They other songs... not so much. I just really don't like hip-hop.
It all sounds the same to me. What about some rock? That's what I
want when I think summer.
I like Bubly and Love Song.
I hate all these songs.
I either 1. hated them when they first came out. or 2. hate them
now because I've heard them so much.
Ughh.. it's all hip-hop/pop garbage too.
Listen to some REAL music, all you Kiwis.
