Ben Barnes

Meet the Caspian cutie.

Ever notice how sometimes a huge movie will come out with an obscure actor or actress in the lead role? Is it by chance that they score a ticket to stardom or do we, as an audience, simply overlook their creative genius until they finally land a larger-than-life role? For actor Ben Barnes, it's a little bit of both.

Unless you've been hiding in Aslan's How for the past few months, you've probably notice Ben's face plastered all over billboard advertisements for his new movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. In the movie, Ben's character is banished from the kingdom and must battle against his power hungry uncle to take back the throne.

Playing Prince Caspian is a pretty big deal, but Ben is no stranger to fantastical roles. Last year, he played the role of Dunstan Thorn in Stardust, the tale of a young man who sets out to retrieve a fallen star for his bratty love interest. Since it wasn't exactly a breakout role, we can understand if you overlooked that one.

Indiana Jones
Ben Barnes is great in Chronicles Of Narnia. He is a great actor
in all his movies.
Indiana Jones

It will be interesting to see how this changes Ben's career! I
can't wait to see the movie.
It is great to get a break while doing a stage performance. I love
the live stage and am happy to see stage actors get recognized.
I find it very interesting to know that ben got the role as prince
caspian while he was performing in London. I can't wait to see
this movie just as i can't wait to see the new Indiana Jones
movie.
I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE. I
ENJOYED THE FIRST ONE I HOPE THE SECOND ONE IS AS GOOD AS THE
FIRST.
O wow its funny how you dont recognize actors when there are
starting to rize! its not until they pull a britney or are
plastered in every blockbuster movie out there. but no seriously,
good for ben! cant wait to see the chronicles of narnia: prince of
caspian!!
Hm, never saw Stardust, and didnt know he was in a band!
Multi-talented boy right there.
His eyes are very captivating. I didn't really know who he was
before, but I enjoyed the movie very much and I think he did a
great job.
I really can't wait to see this movie!! I worked sooo hard to read
all off the book before the movie came out but still have not had
time to go and see it!! I have never heard of this guy but I
really hope he does a good job!
What a very good looking actor! I knew he looked familiar--I loved
him in Stardust, but he was amazing in Caspian. The second Narnia
film absolutely blew me away--better than the first. :)
I absolutely loved Stardust!!! it was so cute. I can't wait to see
him in Prince Caspian and even the Dawn Treader. They were such
great books and I think he can do a great job as Prince Caspian in
both of them.
I've never seen the first movie but my sister just went to see the
second and said it was amazing. I might have to spend next weekend
watching the first then go out and see the next one.
I love him! I love reading the Narnia books and I can't wait to
see him in the movie.
I had never heard of him until now. I tried to watch the first
Narnia movie but I just could not get into it!
I've loved the books since I was little, and I made sure to see
Prince Caspian the first weekend it opened. Never saw Stardust. I
vaguely remember something about it, but never caught my interest.
But Ben Barnes has potential.
I was looking forward to seeing him in the new Narnia movie, but
when it was over I liked the older brother(William Moseley) more
than Caspian. I understand that it was probably a difficult role
to play though. Latin accents are difficult to do, especially
when you have a UK accent. He was okay for what he was given to
deal with I guess.
I've never heard of him and I don't find myself interested in the
Narnia films at all. He does look like the boyband type though.
Haven't read the books, so I don't have much interest in seeing
the movies until I do. But I plan on keeping an eye out for this
actor.
I never saw the movie Stardust and I am not interested in The
Chronicles of Narnia movies or book series. If Ben Barnes gets
fame and success from the sequel to The Lion, the Witch and the
Wardrobe (similar to that of Orlando Bloom when the Lord of the
Rings hit it big) that would be nice for him. In order for me to
state whether I like him or not, I will have to wait for him to
take on another role. It would depend on what the movie would be
about as well.
When I saw Prince Caspian, I thought he looked familiar, but
totally forgot that he was in Stardust! I hope he does well, he
seemed to have some amount of talent in the movie. Plus, he's such
a good-looking guy!

I have never actually read the books, but the movies have
motivated me to get started on that this summer.

Isn't his name Tristan, not Dunstan in Stardust?
I love the chronicles!! I've read every book, but like 10 yrs ago.
haha. I didn't recognise this kid at all, though and i think he
did a great job in the movie --best of luck! he's still so young,
watch he'll just be the next tom cruise!
Very cute guy, but I'm not interested in the movie.
I have read the entire Narnia Chronicles and this story is one of
the most interesting. They get to travel far and wide and the
kids are growing up. I didn't know that this was the same guy
that was in Stardust.
I loved the the new Narnia movie, he did an ok job in it.
I loved him in Prince Caspian he is so cute and it's awesome he
didn't know how to ride a horse.
He was in Stardust? I haven't seen the new narnia movie. but I
heard it's really really good.
Wow...all I have to say is wow!! His is a pretty handsome guy. :)
It's funny how much it looks like he should be in a boy band,
haha, so that's only fitting. Looking forward to seeing this
movie!
I never seen Stardust. :(
I did not recognize him from Stardust at all! He's a decent
actor, although it already seems like he's being typecast into
period movies. That could be a good thing, could be a bad thing.
Very interesting to get some background info on him.
I wasn't a big fan of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
movie... so I haven't really been looking forward to Prince
Caspian. I may or may not go see it. Ben Barnes seems like he'd
be really good in the role!
