BeatmaniaKonami does it again with another rhythm game for the PS2, this time using a DJ's board. Players hit a series of seven buttons and scratch a turntable to the beat, which can get very challenging. DDR fans will recognize the techno tunes from the popular DDR series, as well as covers of disco songs. While only one version came to the states, the games have a cult following in Japan, appearing everywhere from the arcade to the Gameboy.
Donkey KongaTired of smashing buttons? Try hitting on a pair of bongos with the king of the jungle, Donkey Kong. From Nintendo and Namco comes this Gamecube game that encourages players to drum and clap to the music, featuring familiar music from Mario Brothers to Zelda. Gamers aren't the only people who enjoy drumming with DK, pop punk band Good Charlotte appeared in the commercials for Donkey Konga 2.
Gitaroo Man Lives!Guitar Hero might make you into a shred master, but U-1 from this PS2 game has his own alter-ego musician, Gitaroo Man. PSP sequel to the underground hit PS2 game, take on crazy bad guys and rivals in love using your supercharged guitar, dodging attacks while trying to keep up the music. You can even play a duet with friends via Wi-fi.
