Dina Lohan wants you to know that her family is just like every other typical American family. She gets summoned to jury duty! Her son Cody likes to play basketball and go rock climbing! She lives your typical average, normal life, or so she would like you to think. On any average day you would probably find Dina scouring tabloids and entertainment blogs trying to rid the world of all the lies about her family. In the premiere episode, Dina has to deal with the possibility of there being a Lindsay sex tape. She goes into Super Mom mode, quickly calling her lawyers and threatening the people who published the rumors about the tape. The show also centers on Ali Lohan, Lindsay's 14 year old sister, and her quest for fame. Ali's big problem is that she is not as talented as Lindsey nor is she as cute. She is very fame hungry and anxious to ride her sisters coattails. Ali is going to start work on her record soon in Las Vegas and she is given the task of choosing the songs she wants on the record. Both Ali and Dina do not like the song selections she has been given, and Dina demands more. Ali seems all too ready to grow up and fill her sister's shoes. She wears an enormous amount of makeup, making her look much older than her 14 years, and also dresses as if she were someone much older.
