The Spill Canvas' new EP, Honestly, I'm Doing Okay, does an excellent job of displaying the band's talents while sticking to the meaningful lyrics and humility for which they are known.

The group, composed of South Dakota natives Nick Thomas, Joe Beck, Landon Heil and Dan Ludeman, is releasing the EP after a flurry of buzz and success that started when Thomas, lead singer and guitarist, began recording with a little help from his father. The Spill Canvas' debut album Go for the Jugular came in 2002, and the group has since put out four albums and three EPs. Just last year, the band was named one of the "Bands to Watch" by Alternative Press, and has rocked the audiences of Austin's annual music festival SXSW, the Vans Warped Tour and the Campus Invasion Tour.

On Honestly, The Spill Canvas tones it down on new acoustic versions of songs from previous albums and a Fleetwood Mac cover. Its overpowering beats will consume you, inspiring you to move your body as the songs flow from one to the next. Whether you're at one of their concerts or walking down the street, you will find some part of your body grooving to The Spill Canvas' tunes.
