You probably know him best from his hit Nickelodeon show, Just Jordan, but JJ's new DVD shows off a variety of his talents, from performing stand-up comedy to dancing to rapping. Here's a little background on your new favorite performer.Lil JJ was born in Little Rock, Arkansas as James Charles Lewis Jr. Always the class clown, JJ got his big break when his gym teacher at his middle thought he could put his antics to good use. He decided to give the comedy thing a whirl, and at age 11 made his debut performance at a local club called Juanita's. Lil JJ was a hit, and soon other comedians were requesting that he open for them. He then started touring comedy clubs across the country and went on the win BET's comedy search Comin' to the Stage, where he beat out all the adults for 13 weeks. He even had the chance to co-star in movies like Beauty Shop, Yours, Mine and Ours, and Crossover.
