Sex and the City the Movie premiered this weekend and was filled with laughs, love, lessons of friendship, and of course, loads of fashion.
The long anticipated reunion of the HBO series that ended in 2004, stayed loyal to its fans, satisfying questions of where the four women, Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York, have been and where they are headed.
Although the film did not give as much credit to its usual fifth character, New York City, it had new settings such as Mexico and L.A. In Mexico, the girls stayed long enough to sport their resort wear and enjoy some margaritas. In one of the funniest scenes of the entire movie, the always careful Charlotte got sick from the Mexican water and could not make it to the bathroom in time. Samantha, a true New Yorker, is a little out of her element, now living in L.A., where she manages Smith Jared's career and still heads her PR Firm. She spent most of the film going back and forth between New York and her California home, debating whether it was all worth it for a monogamous relationship.
Most of the drama from the movie came from Carrie and Mr. Big's relationship, which really was no surprise since the same can be said of much of the television series. The question of whether or not the two finally get married has been on much of the devoted SATC fan's mind since the show's series finale. The answer is in this movie. Although like the entirety of their relationship it might take a while to get to, you will be happy when it finally does.

movie. We were 3 of the only 5 people in the theatre that
afternoon [due to nice timing]. We laughed & made comments galore
all to the enojoyment of the other few people in the room. We were
pretty sure they were laughing at us [not the movie] quite a few
times.
I've never followed the series closely at all, but my brief
encounters filled me in on the bits I needed to know. I loved it.
One of the girls with me had never watched the series & loved it
too. It was a well spent 2 & a half hours in my book.
