With the release of The Incredible Hulk on June 13th, Edward Norton is joining the ranks of other actors-turned-heroes: Michael Keaton, Christopher Reeve, Hugh Jackman, Tobey Maguire and Eric Bana, the previous star to play the Hulk. But before we all start to imagine Edward Norton as nothing but a big green beast with torn clothing, let's take a look back at some of his most memorable roles.
The Italian Job (2003)
In this remake of the 1969 film of the same name, Norton portrays Steve Frazelli. Frazelli starts of as the "inside man" of the group, but quickly turns on his colleagues and runs off with the heist dough after killing the team's leader. Norton as a villain in this film works perfectly, with his innocent face changing to that of a cold-blooded killer right before your very eyes.
Red Dragon (2002)
The events in Red Dragon take place before Silence of the Lambs, but the movie wasn't made until 10 years later. Norton plays Will Graham, the protagonist of this story. Before Hannibal Lecter was imprisoned, he was a well-known psychiatrist who is approached by Graham to help solve a case. Graham finds evidence that lands Lecter behind bars, but only after a violent confrontation between the two. It is one of Norton's more psychological rolls, which he plays convincingly.
