The ride felt long and awkward. I thought that Phoebe was too pissed to talk and I was miserably tired. Part of it was the flashing so often, and part was using my power to cart Alex along as well.
When we pulled up to the school, we headed into the brick building and past the inquisitive students in the hall. It was just after seventh period and people were switching classes. I saw Demi on the way and she gave me a smug look.

"Changed your shirt, huh?" she said as she walked by. Phoebe watched me and put her hand around my arm to keep me from lunging at her again.

The principals office was pretty much empty so we only had to sit for about five minutes until Ms. Holly, the receptionist, led me into the room.

"Hello Kiera. Nice to see you. You must be her sister, Phoebe." Said Mrs. Sweep. She indicated to a set of blue chairs and I sat down after giving a meek little wave.

"Mrs. Sweep, I'm sorry about this. Kiera had a hard night and I guess she flipped out a little."

"Well, would you please allow Kiera to share why she felt the need to lash out for no reason?" asked Mrs. Sweep politely.

"For no reason? What does that mean? What did Demi tell you?" I muttered.

"She said that she asked why you didn't go to a party Saturday night and you freaked out and hit her."

"That's a lie!" I shouted, head down. I knew that I had to be extra careful because I was definitely going to be shouting.

"A lie? What's your story then?"

"On Friday, she threw a sandwich at me on the bus and I separated it, shoving it in her face. This morning she squirted me with a mustard bottle, so I hit her. I've had enough of her crap." I was still shouting.

"So you started this?"
