It's been a hot minute since Nelly has been on the scene. The St. Louis native simultaneously released his last two albums Sweat and Suit in 2004, with the former debuting at number two and the latter clocking in at the top spot on Billboard's album charts. The records spawned a bevy of hits, ranging in style from tracks like the country-rap hybrid "Over and Over" featuring Tim McGraw to party starters like "Tilt Ya Head Back" featuring Christina Aguilera.
But between then and now, Nelly hasn't done a whole lot. He's made some guest appearances on tracks by R. Kelly and Janet Jackson, acted in the 2005 Adam Sandler flick The Longest Yard and released a B-sides album with his group St. Lunatics. Other than that, he's been keeping it low-key, and for a hip-pop titan like Nelly to wait this long to make his triumphant return, he must be plotting something big.
