"Mean Girls"

Another day in the life of struggling star-to-be Ali Lohan, shows poor Ali getting bullied by the girls at school. Ali is being tortured by the mean girls at school who make fun of her for having a famous sister, and trying to be a celebrity. Ali often comes home in a bad mood, or even crying because of the nastiness of her peers at school. Supermom Dina, speaks to Ali's school and the school is aware of the bullying that is going on and considers suspending Ali's tormentors.

Maybe the audience would sympathize with Ali if we liked her more. The American audience has always had trouble liking fame hungry, attention starving people, especially if they are talentless, and Ali Lohan is all of those things. Her mannerisms and the way she speaks are all very affected and contrived. While Dina seems to come across as somewhat genuine, Ali does not at all.

Dina takes Ali to a performing arts group in the city to boost Ali's self esteem. The group sings and dances to encouraging, positive music. Ali, Dina, and Nana all get up and dance and sing. Ali feels better about herself, which excites both Dina and Nana. Later on Dina preps Ali for an interview on Access Hollywood with Stacy London. Stacy asks Ali such challenging questions as, "How do you deal with the bad press about Lindsay?" and "How is the peer pressure at school?" Ali answers them all eloquently, while a beaming Dina looks on.

Dina's close friend stops by the house and brings some poetry that her daughter who died had written. The poetry means a lot to everyone since they were all close with the girl. It is a shame that Ali decides to put the girl's poetry to music and sing it for everyone. Everyone in the room cries, but it must have been cause there ears hurt because her voice did not bring any beauty to the girl's beautiful words. Ali needs to take it down a notch and show the audience she is like any other fourteen-year-old girl if she wants to win fans and make it in the same business her sister has found so much success in.

I completely agree with that statement, this is a good article.
The show is seriously pathetic..needs to be cancelled.
