The competition gets more heated as the nine remaining guys fall more in love with DeAnna. Host Chris Harrison announces that there will be a singing contest to find out who will get a one-on-one date with DeAnna. The bachelors all take their time writing funny little songs, some taking the challenge more seriously than others. Jesse admits to everyone he is absolutely petrified of having to sing for an audience, so when he faces his fears and sings a sweet, little song, DeAnna chooses him as the recipient of the one-on-one date.
DeAnna and Jesse head to an old theater in Los Angeles, where it is just the two of them all night. DeAnna knows that there is a friendship connection between her and Jesse, but she is nervous there might not be a romantic connection. She quickly realizes she may have true, romantic feelings for him and she awards him with a rose. Natasha Bedingfield then serenades them both.
Graham, Twilley, Jason, Sean, Jeremy, and Brian all get to go on a group date to the race tracks with DeAnna. They all take turns racing around the track and they all have a blast. DeAnna spends some one-on-one time with all of them. When she is with Sean she reveals that she spent a large part of her childhood in his home state of Kentucky. The two bond over this fact, and she gives him a rose. While spending some one-on-one time with Graham she makes it very known that she is interested in kissing him. Graham tells her that he is not interested in kissing her because he doesn't want to be just like every other guy and he wants there time to be special. DeAnna is very hurt and offended that he is not willing to take a chance on their romance and she tells him so.
