You Don't Mess With the Zohan

Violence isn't always the answer, but hummus is.

Adam Sandler's new movie, You Don't Mess With the Zohan, kicked its way into theaters this Friday, knocking in $40 million and proving violence is not always the answer in a comedic way that can only be expected from Sandler and his all-star cast.

In this flamboyantly over-the-top perspective of Israeli and Palestinian culture, there are a ton of laughs whether it's due to Sandler's ridiculous outfit choices or his excessive use of tribal hummus for anything and everything, including putting out a fire.

This film was an entertaining tale of tolerance and love, wrapped behind a story of two ethnicities dealing with hate in a time of war. Zohan Dvir (Adam Sandler), a Mossad agent for the Israeli army, dreams of peace and going to America to cut and style hair. When he is laughed out of his parents' home, being deemed a "faggola" by his own father, Zohan sees no other choice but to fake his own death in order to reemerge in the US as a spunky hairstylist who woos his clients by giving them "special services" after each cut and making them feel young again.
