Joey continues to struggle with staying sober in Hollywood. When a friend from back home comes to visit, Joey realizes it is in his own best interest to not see the friend, for it may risk his sobriety. The friend is very angry that Joey does not want to see him, because he thought that when he came to Los Angeles he and Joey would be partying hard. The friend threatens to hurt Joey when he gets back to Chicago. Joey feels some guilt over ignoring his friend, but he knows that the friend is the one who got him into drugs so therefore he cannot remain a part of Joey's life. Joey has some other friends in town and they have fun doing sober activities, such as going to a hookah bar. Will encourages Brianna to take advantage of living in Hollywood and really try to pursue her musical career. She realizes she better step it up if she wants to make it as a successful singer. She decides to go downtown and sing on the sidewalk to try and make a few dollars and hopefully attract attention from some music bigwigs. Everyone that walks by raves about her beautiful voice and she even makes a few dollars in the meantime.
