As the Lohan's prepare for their Las Vegas trip to work on Ali's album, Dina is met with resistance from some of her clan. Cody and Nana both do not want to go. This latest dramatic turn of events has the house in a tizzy. How can Dina convince both her son and her mother to come to Las Vegas? Dina tells Cody about all the fun, kid friendly things there are to do in Las Vegas, but Cody keeps insisting he would rather stay home and play with his friends. Dina lays down the law and tells him that he does not have a say in the matter.

After finally getting Cody to stop whining about Las Vegas, Dina now has to deal with her mother's gripes about the topic. Nana simply just does not want to go to Vegas, and she sees no reason to go on the trip. Dina is worried about her mother being lonely for two weeks, and she begs and pleads with her mother the entire episode to come on their trip. Nana keeps coming up with different excuses as to why she should stay home. Dina even recruits her brother's help to get Nana to come, but Grandma just won't budge. Finally it is revealed that ever since Dina's dad died, her mother has become a bit of a homebody and lost her zest for life. They all share fond memories about Dina's dad, and Dina relents on her quest to get Granny to go to Vegas.

The ever dramatic love story between Michael and Nina isn't over yet either. After Nina left the Lohan house to go see her own her parents, Michael and Nina have not spoken. Ali and Cody are both very stressed over this and they decide to play matchmaker and get the two of them back together. They get Nina to come over, and when she arrives she finds a romantic candle lit dinner that Ali and Cody tell her that Michael has made. Ali and Cody then drag Michael down for dinner where he is pleased to see Nina. The two finally have a heart to heart, and Michael agrees to be more understanding of her needs.

At least this episode did not focus on Ali as much as the previous episodes, so viewers were spared her constant whining. Though the episode may have been easier on viewer's ears, it was not any less painful to watch. For a half hour show the producers sure have trouble drawing out a storyline for thirty minutes. Half of the entire show was Dina asking her mom to come to Vegas, and Granny replying "no." Viewers don't want to see boring, normal, everyday experiences. Viewers want to see how Lindsay Lohan became the drug addicted, crazy, party girl that she is today. The best explanation for Lindsay's behavior must be that her family bored her to death and she had no choice but to resort to a hard partying lifestyle.
