The South has recently spawned its fair share of youngins who've been on the come up. There's been Soulja Boy Tell 'em, the Mississippi-born teen who became the first to use YouTube as a marketing tool to promote his debut single "Crank Dat." Then there's V.I.C., an Atlanta-based emcee whose single "Get Silly" (produced by Soulja Boy himself) has been making its way up the charts. And if you're talking about young rappers from the South, you can't forget Hurricane Chris, the 19-year-old who rocked radio with his inescapable jam "A Bay Bay."

Now, there's a duo out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana who are coming with twice the manpower as these solo artists and a song that's just as (if not more) infectious. Lil Josh and Ernest, who are just 17 and 18 years old, are already off to an ambitious start with their insanely catchy single "Jigga Juice." The track features label mates Hurricane Chris and Diamond, blowing up on radios across the nation and making its rounds on networks with its high school-themed video. Not bad for a couple of guys who only recently turned the legal driving age.

With all this talk about their single, you're probably wondering what exactly jigga juice is. The duo claims that the phrase has versatility depending on how fans interpret it, but have posted instructional clips on their YouTube page to teach listeners how to properly "jig" to the track. Like with Soulja Boy's "Crank Dat," the DIY clips have resulted in a flurry of fan-made video responses of people getting their jig on, cementing them as the next YouTube sensations and turning their track into a viral phenomenon.

Lil Josh and Ernest are set to release their debut Young Money this summer, which the guys say is a combination of hyper party tracks like "Jigga Juice" as well as laid back cuts to pop in the deck to soundtrack a smooth ride. Kiwibox Senior Editor Steven caught up with Josh to talk about the upcoming album, why he considers Jay-Z and Diddy his idols and how he squeezes in so many shows into his schedule while still making it to high school on the reg.
