Will Smith is a celebrity favorite, breaking barriers and having a jiggy time while doing it. He has conquered music, film, television and even the Guiness Book of World Records. With his most recent film, Hancock, released July 2, Smith has a lot to be thankful for. He has a beautiful wife, actress Jada Pinkett-Smith, three adorable children; he has been nominated for two Academy Awards, a Golden Globe and has won numerous Grammys. He is also one of only three actors in the history of film to have seven consecutive $100 million blockbusters, the two other being Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks. Though Smith's roles are anything but lackluster here are some that shine a little brighter than the rest.

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Making his acting debut as the "Fresh Prince" this sitcom launched him into success. As the teenager from West Philadelphia, born and raised, it was a pleasure to tune in and watch him be smooth with the ladies and see what trouble he would get into with his relatives each week. There was never a dull moment in the Banks household. The show ran for six seasons and taught us the true meaning of tough love.

Bad Boys

Smith's film career took off in this buddy cop action film aside Martin Lawrence. The two played detective sergeants from the Miami-Dade Police Departments. Smith, as Mike Lowrey, came from a wealthy background and led a playboy-like lifestyle. Lawrence, as Marcus Burnett, was a conservative family man. A lot of the film was improvised and the chemistry between Lawrence and Smith was undeniable. The film led to a sequel, Bad Boys II, in 2003.

Independence Day

When a meteor shower turns out to be a gigantic alien spacecraft hovering above Earth, people start getting a little frantic. It turns out that these aliens are intent upon destroying everything in their line of sight, unless Captain Steven Hiller (Smith) and company can thwart their efforts - using one of their own ships, no less.
