Rozelle, Jazze Pha and Nitti Exclusive Interview

Being a newcomer in the R&B game ain't easy. It's always an uphill battle to lay down tracks with producers that can crank out a hot beat, get the attention of label heads and land a solid record deal. Not to mention that there are probably thousands of other cats who are trying to beat you to the punch, some of whom are probably more attractive or talented than you. It's a dog-eat-dog world out there, and you've got to have it all in order to make it to the top.

But if you're R&B singer Rozelle, you don't have to take that route to put yourself on the map. An Atlanta native, Rozelle is fresh out of high school at the tender age of 18 and has already built a name for himself. It doesn't matter that he's unsigned - he's already worked with some of the biggest producers in the game, including Nitti (Yung Joc's "It's Going Down," 9th Ward's "Add Me Up"), Jazze Pha (Ciara's "1, 2 Step," Ludacris' "Area Codes") and Bryan-Michael Cox (Mariah Carey's "Don't Forget About Us," Mary J. Blige's "Be Without You").

Rozelle is in the process of recording his debut, holing up in Atlanta studios with the big dogs to deliver nothing but heat. "Long Night," the Nitti-produced single, is the first product of his time in the studio, and with a video already released and some more collabo's with Nitti on the way, the album is going to ripe with that special Nitti touch. Jazze also laid down some songs with the budding star, naming tracks like "Star" and "E.V.O.L." (read it backwards, duh!) as potential cuts for the album.

He may be unsigned, but there's plenty of hype surrounding this young R&B singer. And who says you have to do it the typical way to make it big? Rozelle showed that he's out to break the mold as he talked with Kiwibox Senior Editor Steven, hopping on the line with Jazze Pha and Nitti to discuss what it was like for him to work with these super producers, what they thought of Rozelle's work ethic and how they plan to take the R&B world by storm.
