The abilities themselves are pretty neat and stay true to the series, ranging from telekinesis to crazed electrical attacks. As you move through the game and encounter enemies, you'll have the chance to use turn-based fighting or real-time fighting. After your character makes a move, you'll have to wait for a status bar to refill before using that character again. Your best bet is to use a mix of strong and weak attacks and use every character that you can, especially if there are multiple enemies. You'll spend much of your time simply wandering around unlocking gates, but the game is long enough that even this feels like a challenge.
The graphics that truly stand out are in the animated scenes, which are fluid and make you feel like you're at home watching the cartoon. Other areas are a bit lacking, but this doesn't necessarily take away from gameplay.
Overall, this is a game designed primarily for hardcore Lyoko fans. The game throws you right into the action without offering any explanation of what's going on or who any of these people are, so if you've never seen the series you may feel a bit lost. However, it also works as a dynamic RPG, so if you're a fan of this genre, you could very well enjoy the heck out of Coke Lyoko: Fall of X.A.N.A.
