Jealousy finally emerges in Trina and Tom's perfect marriage. While seeing Tom off at the airport, Trina is surprised to run into her old high school boyfriend, Luke. Tom immediately feels insecure and left out while Trina and Luke reminisce about high school. Luke insists that they keep each other company while Tom is in Tokyo and Trina happily agrees. The two of them catch up while watching a slide show of pictures from their youth. Tom keeps calling the house to check up on Trina, but Trina is oblivious to his jealousy.

Bruce arranges for Susan to be invited to the Ladies Auxiliary luncheon, which his boss's wife, Rita, will host. Susan agrees to attend and invites Janet along. Janet is thrilled because these women are very prim and proper just like she is and she hopes to make friends with them. During the luncheon Rita spills her drink on her outfit, and Janet quickly comes to her rescue, knowing the perfect remedy for stain removal. All the women are very impressed by Janet's skills and they invite Janet and Susan to a benefit gala the following night.

All of Janet's dreams are coming true, she is being accepted by a group of women she admires and she may even get a chance at becoming a real member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She excitedly tells her husband, Roger and asks if it would be possible they could join the country club. Roger insists they can't afford it, but Janet tells him that he is more than deserving of a raise at work and she encourages him to speak with his boss. When Roger does have a word with his boss instead of getting a raise he gets laid off. Since Janet is floating on cloud nine he doesn't have the heart to tell her about their newfound money problems and instead lies that he did receive a raise.
