Head Designer Kara Lusardi is a New York native and a current resident of L.A. which surprisingly enough inspires most of her designs which are well-received by famous fans such as Nicole Richie and Mary-Kate Olsen. How does she keep New York sophistication within her fun and flirty styles and still cater to both coasts? Easy.

"I have a built-in cheese-blocking system," Kara jokes.

She describes how often times with more causal and fun pieces, New Yorkers can be ticked off by that certain "cheesiness" factor. Their innate cynical nature, which almost comes with living in a place like New York, kicks in and immediately sends a "big cheese" message directly to the brain. By keeping her styles simple, solid and sans too much extra fluff she has found her successful niche.

She has furthered her appeal by catering to those who set style...celebrities.

"I want to keep that clientele," She notes.

To do this she will notice how celebrities wear her pieces and what items they are wearing.

It also helps that her collections cater to busy women. With the simple addition of a bangle, earring, heel or necklace, her tees, tunics, tanks and more can go instantly from day-time chic to nighttime appropriate.

Kara notes she often has to rush from work to a nightly event and for her "it's all about the earrings."

In the fall we can expect to see pieces with a real "roman goddess feel" along with military accents and a harder edge. But of course, the tees will remain "cute and hip, but clean."

"My own style is Bobi."
