"I don't think that's appropriate in front of children," she said nervously.

"Then look away," said Alex before turning and kissing me. I was startled at first, it was just a quick thing, but I was still startled. I heard a chorus of young voices saying "oooh" and the teachers gasping. When he pulled away, I found myself turning red and he was smiling sheepishly. The bus pulled up to save us from a lecture and we took a seat in the back, next to a really little kid.

"You guys kissed," he said excitedly. I blushed again and saw Alex do the same. We nodded and scooted to the far side. The kid was wearing a seat belt so he couldn't move too.

"I'm sorry Kiera, she was suspicious and I didn't want her to ask questions," he said nervously.

"It's fine."

"Are you sure?

"Trust me. I didn't mind." We sat there staring at each other in silence. He blushed even deeper and I lowered my head.

"Well then..." he said to break the silence. I nodded and turned to look out the window. I felt my exhaustion take over and I couldn't help but fall asleep.

The path stretched out before me, and Alex was there, sitting on that log talking to Will. I crept behind a tree and sat there listening. Alex spoke first.

"Leave Kiera alone."

"Oh, you have a surprise waiting for you," Will responded.

"Well, if Kiera gets hurt I will kill you.. No joke."

"Fine then. Bye." Will stood up and looked my way before leaving.
