Summer Love

To sizzle or to fizzle?

Written by: Stacyrh – Posted: Thu Jul 31st, 2008

Fall Planning.

When you talk about the upcoming Fall, do you include each other in your plans? Are you planning your school schedules around each other or does he avoid the topic altogether? It's important to notice these signs because if you are not even thinking about the fall and are too distracted by how his baby blues reflect off the ocean, he's probably not thinking about it either.

Hanging Out.

When you hang out do you keep it to group outings or playing on the beach or would you rather spend time one on one? Do you have a special ring tone just for when he calls? Does he flirt with other girls when you're not around or even worse, when you are? The worst thing you can do is assume you are exclusive before either of you says the words aloud. Hoping is not knowing and in these situations you should not put all of your eggs in one basket. Summer love is wonderful and fun but it can be short-lived and fleeting too so you have to be careful. Don't be too eager with text messages and calls. He will come to you if he is worth it.

Not all summer loves are meant to last. That is part of what makes them so special. If your summer fling fizzles, the best thing to do is to be grateful for the time you had together and wish it well with a kiss goodbye. You will surely live to fling again once next Memorial Day rolls by.
