Lollapalooza: Day 1

Radiohead, The Raconteurs, Mates of State and more.

Anyways, walked in the brutal heat to the media area at Grant Park, a huge mile-plus long field where Lollapalooza was being held. I checked in, got my credentials and hit the fest. To give you an idea of what the setup was like, the media area was right next to the AT&T stage, one of two main stages on the fest. At the other side of the park sat the Bud Light stage, which featured equally as big acts as AT&T, but more rock bands than pop and hip-hop ones (i.e. The Raconteurs and Wilco vs. Kanye West and Gnarls Barkley). In between the miles of land between the two main stages were six smaller stages, featuring lesser known acts that drew smaller crowds. Good stuff, nonetheless... Some might say even better than the actual headliners.
