Ha Ha Tonka may have only released their debut album Buckle in the Bible Belt last year, but you could say that they're doing pretty well for themselves. Native to Springfield, Missouri, the quartet played to a huge crowd at one of the earliest time slots at Lollapalooza, showing that even after a night of crazy partying and late night antics, fans will still make it out to see them - even if they need to sip at coffee while they rock out. The group was in town for one of their last tour dates of the summer before heading back out on the road in September, making their set standout from their artist peers with their sunny harmonies and rockin' renditions of their tracks.
Chilling in the green lawn chairs backstage at Lollapalooza, the guys of Ha Ha Tonka were a little bit too candid as they spoke with Senior Editor Steven, going so far as giving out their phone number for all the single ladies out there. But if you can't tell, they were just kidding. We think. Nonetheless, the group talked about what it was like playing the biggest festival in the United States, the amenities that they got from playing Lollapalooza (Brian was particularly happy about the Buick he got) and how they dealt with having to wake up so early for their morning set.
