There are certain benefits of having a partner in crime when it comes to doing interviews. At Lollapalooza, electro-pop duo Chromeo, made up of Dave 1 and P-Thugg, rocked an enormous crowd on the MySpace stage. But a few hours later, P-Thugg was nowhere to be found. That's because he was heading on over to the airport to set up for their next show at a festival in Montreal, so while he was putting his seat back and enjoying his complimentary peanut bag on the flight, Dave 1 was holding it down at Lolla, giving the scoop on their re-released album Fancy Footwork and recently released single "Mama's Boy."
Dave 1 might have been having separation issues, being that he wanted to do the interview with Kid Sister (who was busy frolicking around the media area), but eventually went it alone after grabbing a quick bite to eat. Sitting down with Senior Editor Steven, Dave talked about what it was like to have their insanely awesome video for "Mama's Boy" premier on FNMTVM, why it took over 2,000 drawings to create the clip and how exactly he prepares himself mentally for playing to thousands upon thousands of fans.
