When Anne walks in on Amy and Ashley talking she realizes there are more secrets that have yet to be revealed. Amy tells her mom that Ricky, not Ben is the father of her child. At that very moment, George is having a conversation with Ben's dad. Ben's dad is trying to convince George to let Amy and Ben get married. Anne quickly calls him and tells him he is talking to the wrong guy. George comes home so he can discuss the situation with his family. He begs Anne to let him come back home, but she tells him she is not ready for that.
Before Amy's mom is about to take her to the OBGYN, Amy decides she definitely cannot go through with the pregnancy. She asks Ben and Adrian to escort her to the free clinic. Grace and Ricky get wind of where they are headed and they quickly head over to the clinic to try and stop Amy. Grace makes a huge scene; screaming and yelling, and she gets kicked out of the clinic. At the last second Amy calls Ben into the room with her and she confides in him that she can't go through with it. When Amy gets home her mom tells her that she will be all right. Anne also has a secret to share: She got pregnant with Amy before she was married. Amy is shocked, but also a little comforted to know that grown-ups make mistakes too.
This episode was great and totally riveting. The acting on everybody's parts was phenomenal, and it's easy to see why Secret Life just won a Teen Choice Award, for best summer show. The characters are all unique with their own individual personalities, and all the stories are able to tie in nicely together. Grace's preaching needs to be toned down a bit, but other than that this show is shaping up to be a great show that will keep you entertained and also make you think.
