Bitter exes make bitter foes. Though it is unproven, an ugly rumor started early this year that French Olympic swimmer, Laure Manadou's nude photos and a sex tape on the web were the work of an angry Luca Marin, also a swimmer.Though there is no proof of the latter, many speculate that this was the origin of the photos and tape because they appeared on the web hours after an intense fight and break up between the two Olympians. Unfortunately, the photos have taken front stage to Manadou's career, while she gets past the scandal.
Four years ago, Manadou won a gold medal for France in the Olympics and she was a hero. An Olympic gold had not been won for France since 1952. Then, she fell in love with Italian swimmer, Luca Marin. She then left France and moved to Italy to train with the Turin Club. Needless to say, some of her French fans felt betrayed.
