After a few steep steps, we were in. There was a yellow couch, a hidden TV, racks of past designs and hats--lots and lots of hats. We were inside Season 4 Project Runway designer Ricky Lizalde's studio, a place where he makes his visions into a reality and a place few have ventured before. You don't really think about where clothes are made or how, but gazing around the room you really got a sense of what it was like to be inside the designer's head. Mood boards, sentimental trinkets, drawings; everywhere you looked there were personal touches of Ricky.
