If you go into "Nights in Rodanthe" with expectations that this will be a classic Nicholas Sparks story, you will be completely prepared and happy with the film. Like "The Notebook" and "A Walk To Remember," this is a heavy on the drama romance about how love can overcome obstacles and give people hope. It also has a tragic element, and "Rodanthe" is unique due to its age bracket: mid-forties rather than young and fierce and passionate. Diane Lane and Richard Gere had great chemistry in their last movie "Unfaithful," and it comes back for this film without question. At least there's no sexy Frenchman to come between them, eh?
