The world is in peril from a horrible alien threat, and a handful of unlikely heroes step up to save us: the Monsters are here, have no fear! Based on the upcoming Dreamworks 3D Animated film coming in 2009, Activision's amazing Monsters vs. Aliens™ Video Game is here to place you right inside the movie and go further into a whole new set of adventures and mishaps with your favorite monsters. Play as acrobatic The Missing Link, hilarious B.O.B, fast moving Ginormica, and brilliant Dr. Cockroach within the Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, PS2, and PC versions developed by Beenox, Inc. The excellent Nintendo DS version, from Amaze Entertainment, will add in the humongous and misunderstood Insectosaurus as a playable character.

In the movie, Gallaxhar (Rainn Wilson) and his alien robot army come to Earth to conquer the planet. The humans are incapable of fighting back against this powerful force, so they call upon the "freaks" and "monsters" that they have always feared. Starring the voices of Seth Rogen, Reese Witherspoon, Kiefer Sutherland, Will Arnett and Hugh Laurie, this movie promises to be a stunning visual accomplishment on top of a hilarious and entertaining film. The video game is pumped up by most of the same actors who agreed to voice their characters for it as well. This is especially exciting since as you go through the beautifully designed missions, you can hear Seth Rogen and Reese Witherspoon spur you on as their in-game characters!

The levels of the game use all different forms of genres such as racing, puzzle solving, fighting, and even first person shooting! As the game progresses you watch exciting cut-scenes and then play through settings presented in the movie, only in much greater detail. For example, the streets of San Francisco, the secret government prison, and Gallaxhar's daunting mothership are all in the movie, but the game gives you the chance to delve deeper inside of them and explore. Break out of the prison skating as Ginormica or storm through the cities, jumping and skidding under falling objects to defeat the enemy. Bring the fight to the robots as brutal The Missing Link, or fall through grates and open doors as B.O.B. A special co-op mode allows a second player to come in as Dr. Cockroach and assist in tense situations with lasers and special gadgets. Insectosaurus shoots silk and chases enemies away with a sonic scream that can level buildings. Gallaxhar is no match against a team of monsters in your skill hands!

Activision brings Monsters vs. Aliens™ Video Game to a console near you in March of 2009. This game will make you laugh as you move through twelve challenging levels and save Earth from certain destruction! Are you ready to have the time of your life? Then get psyched for the Monsters vs. Aliens™ Video Game!
