Singer-songwriter Akon has artistically evolved with the release of each album. His 2004 debut Trouble introduced the world to the soon-to-be hit maker, who used his experiences as a jailbird for three years as inspiration for smash singles like "Locked Up" and "Ghetto." But then, Akon was Konvicted on his sophomore record released two years later, with celebratory party anthems like "Smack That" featuring Eminem and "I Wanna Love You" featuring Snoop Dogg helping to establish Akon as a fixture in the top of the charts. And now, he's back with his third album Freedom, the next chapter in the hit-making machine's career.
