I have kind of a love/hate relationship with Japanese anime. I'm a huge fan of the genre itself, but when they bring it over to America, clean it up for kids, and dub the voices? That's when I start losing interest. If it's done well, the results can be brilliant; as good as the original or better in some cases. When it's done poorly, or a strange choice is made, it can ruin a series for me. Such is the case with Naruto. This tale of a boy ninja and his trials and tribulations is a pretty big hit here in the States for Cartoon Network, but I first saw Naruto in the original Japanese with fan-made subtitles almost 4 years ago. I absolutely loved it, and when I heard they were bringing it over, I was thrilled. Unfortunately, I wasn't thrilled with the results. Thankfully, Viz Media is giving me choices in their newly released Naruto movie, Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom. But I'll get into the DVD and its features later, and tell you a little bit about the movie itself first. Deal?

I haven't bothered with watching the english version.. It's like
watching a movie thats been made from your favourite book - no
matter how well it's been done, it will annoy you with the stuff
they miss out and change. :)
