i just found out cc deville won't be coming to mainland europe...i won't see my idol on my birthday...snif! =( a guy on a mailing list already told me but i didn't want to believe him, but now it's on the official website... i will be able to see doro live one week after my birthday but it won't be the same, she's not my idol and chances are she will come back often, and cc was such a rare event! they said it's because cc's album didn't come out in time in europe, which is true, i'm gonna get it but i had to order it from the usa, via internet, so i still hope he will tour europe later, but nothing is less sure... he's such a lunatic man! it reminds me of a premonitory dream i had 6 years ago: i was going to see cc (well, poison, but cc is in poison too) live on my birthday but that at the last minute there was no show... i say it was a premonitory dream because 6 years ago i didn't have friends, and poison never came to spain, cc is the one who came the closest until they cancelled the shows now. and i was going to go with my friends, like in my dream 6 years ago...

this is not a concert review, but i'm so excited i had to write it somewhere. i just found out like 15 minutes ago that cc deville, who has been my biggest idol through my teenage, since i was 11 years old, is going to be in barcelona, where i live, for a concert on march 13th, and guess what? i'm turning 23 years old one day later!!!! what a blast i'm gonna have for my birthday!!!!!!! =)=)=)=)=)=) i almost fainted from the emotion when i read on that website that cc will be here almost on my birthday! i'm SO happy!!!!!!! i'll write the review here, of course. wow, i can't believe i'm finally gonna see him live and hopefully meet him! i will spend the whole day there if necessary, but i HAVE to meet him! any ideas how to catch him? what would you do to meet your fave star at a concert? please, let me know! thanks! oh, and on my birthday, march 14th, he will be in my home town in france! there are very rarely any good shows there, so i've just thought that maybe...if i have the money... i could pay a quick visit to my aunt who lives there... and see cc 2 days in a row! i'll have to think about that...=)

what do people see in ac/dc?? that's the big question that came to my mind as soon as the show started. from what was told the next day, there were 23,000 people. i went with my boyfriend and we had to meet some friends there but there was no way we could find them amongst all these people, even though they had told us where they would be seated. the lights went off and the show started, so we couldn't even get a seat for ourselves. yeah, the whole concert standing on our feet... ugh! besides there were tons of people standing there and since i'm short, i couldn't see the stage more than a minute from time to time for the first half of the concert. later there were even more people and i couldn't see the stage at all, not even the big screens on the walls! all i could do was listen to the music, and for that i have the tapes at home, i'm not going to pay 5000 pesetas to listen to that crap! later i slipped on beer that was spilled on the floor and i hurt my back, and as if it wasn't enough, on the last song, they shot cannons and i completely panicked. i grabbed my boyfriend to the point of choking him and i was screaming with panic and tears jerking off my eyes! pathetic! but i've always had a phobia of explosions... i feel so sorry i behaved like that with my boyfriend...he had waited to see ac/dc live for 10 years and i spoiled the fun... i told him i'm sorry and he said it's ok, he doesn't seem to be angry with me happily...=) the poor man did all his best to make me feel better! he's so lovely! =)
that was my own view of the concert, and the music itself... well, to me all songs sound the same. after 5 or 6 songs i was already asking myself "haven't they already played this?" or... "hadn't they already finished that song?" oh well...
after the show, rikki and i sat on a grass patch near the concert place and spent a nice hour of making out... ok, no more details...LOL that made me feel a lot better, although it would have been even better if it hadn't been so damn cold...

i had the time of my life at the concert! the concert itself was wonderful, michael monroe is one of the best showmen i've ever seen (and i've been to nearly 60 concerts), he knows how to move on stage, and he loves the audience, he's close to the people, and he jumps out of stage from time to time to be amongst the people.... he even jumped on our heads once! hey, he's heavy! LOL the audience was in a total craze, we were in second row or something (there were no seats anyway) and we were crushed by like 300 people that were behind us. i swear i never saw such a crazy audience! at first i found it funny but after 2 songs i really wanted to kick those behind me, and by the middle of the concert i felt so sick i had to get out of the room for a couple of minutes. besides it was like over 100º F in that room! michael monroe even asked someone to open the door!
he had a band opening for him, called get animal, i had already seen them last year opening for wasp and they're great. what's even greater is that after the show, while we were waiting for michael monroe to come out and sign autographs, we found get animal's drummer, then the singer, and the drummer needed a lighter for his cigarette and frank (one of my friends) gave him one, and we all started chatting with get animal! we had a picture taken with the singer and they even gave us free cd's: promotional, limited edition singles for my best friend and frank's girlfriend and whole adam bomb cd's (seems they were adam bomb before they became get animal or something) for frank and me. a few minutes later, michael monroe came out to sign autographs and it was a craze, everyone pushing everyone else to try to get something. it took me a long time to approach michael, each time i could get near him he ran away because, as he said, we didn't let him move or breathe, and he didn't want to be touched (like people touching his arm or his back to get his attention for a picture or an autograph). i finally got him to sign my ticket and my best friend's ticket, and about 5 minutes later he accepted to have 2 pictures taken with me! i just hope 2 things: that the pictures will come out well and that my boyfriend won't be jealous to see michael monroe hug me the way he did for the pictures. i hope he knows michael did the same thing with every girl who wanted a pic! i really didn't realize i had been so close to one of my favorite singers ever until like one hour later! LOL after that, we saw the bassist all alone with a bored face and we decided to ask him for an autograph too and a picture. wow, those guys are SO huge! i'm only 5'2'', and they must be like 6'2'' or more!
