Recap: The Biggest LoserEpisode 3![]() This week on The Biggest Loser, the contestants deal with many difficult decisions. Week three's theme is "Would You Rather," and the players face their first decision right at the beginning of the episode. Ali presents them with the choice between a two-pound advantage at weigh-in or access to the trainers during the week. Players must cross a line to choose the advantage, and only one team can win it. The teams debate, and many decide that two-pounds is not enough incentive. Tracey surprises her partner by stepping forward to claim the advantage. Coach Mo is not pleased with his partner's decision, but he has no choice but to go along with it. Bob and Jillian drop in for a visit and learn about the decision players had to make. They are not impressed that Tracey traded them in for a measly two-pounds and try to impress on her the gravity of her impulsiveness. Meanwhile, Abby is suffering from very bad pain in her shins. A visit to Dr. H reveals that she has developed a stress fracture in her tibia. This news means that she has to stay off of it until it heals. Instead, Abby must rely on workouts in the pool and very careful dieting. ![]() The players face more difficult decisions with their first temptation. Ali asks if they want to control their diet or the game. A platter of cupcakes is placed in front of each player. Whoever eats the most cupcakes will win a special power: the winner decides which member of each team will be the sole representative of that team at the weigh-in. Only two contestants give in to temptation: Antoine and the ever-impulsive Tracey. Antoine eats two cupcakes, but Tracey wins the power by eating four. This power troubles everyone. Some teams try to bargain with Tracey to guarantee that a specific member is chosen, but given how unpredictable she has been, no one knows what to expect. On top of all the tumultuous game play, the players still have their weekly challenge. Each team must move 500 pounds from one location to another, and the first team to do so wins immunity. In continuing with the week's theme, the players have a choice between carrying two containers at five pounds each per trip or a twenty-five-pound container per trip. Abby and Allen's Green Team is ultimately victorious, but everyone completes the challenge. ![]() At the weigh-in, there is a tremendous amount of tension. The fate of each team is dependent on Tracey. Jillian can not believe that Tracey acted so impulsively again, and she lashes out at her. She is especially angry at Tracey's complete disregard for the fate of her partner. The Orange Team (Shay and Daniel) and the red team (Antoine and Sean) fall below the yellow line. The Red Team essentially ask to go home. Sean and Antoine feel that they have the support system they need at home and that Shay would not have the same support. Respecting their wishes, the contestants send the Red Team home. The player update showed that both members of the Red Team lost over 120 pounds at home. The most touching update came from Antoine, who managed to find love on The Biggest Loser. He and Alexandra started dating after he returned home, and they are both very supportive towards each others' weight loss. The Biggest Loser airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.
