Thomas Fiss is most well known for being one of the five members of the pop music group Varsity Fanclub. More recently, he has branched out and created his own apparel line called Adisson Apparel. I had a chance to speak with Thomas about his new project and here's what he had to say!

What made you want to create your own line of clothing?

Thomas Fiss : I've been wanting to have my own line for a while. Actually, I came up with the concept about three years ago just before Varsity Fanclub took over the majority of my time.

I know how busy you are with Varsity Fanclub and your other music projects, but who else is helping you run the clothing line?

Thomas Fiss : Oh man, "busy" is an understatement. I'm actually going in the studio to collaborate with My Favorite Highway, a new band on Capitol Records. With that being said, my good friend and business partner Isaiah Vest is helping with the Adisson line.



How did you come up with the name Adisson Apparel? And the Logo?

Thomas Fiss : l wanted something focused around romance, love, poetry, music, & the beach...things that I focus my life around. Adisson fits this definition for me. Adisson is actually a poet/writer from 18th Century Europe. He wasn't well known, but I liked his name and his style.

What style is portrayed through Adisson Apparel?

Thomas Fiss : The style is my based on my influences from growing up in Southern California. Music, surfing, skating and love. I based it on what I would like to see girls wearing; something fun but still sexy.

What made you want to start a clothing line?

Thomas Fiss : I wanted to share my influences with everyone. Whether it was through music or clothing or a picture...I wanted to give people something that's real. A clothing line that’s built around being "real".


Where are we going to be able to purchase items? Is it just online or will it eventually be in stores?

Thomas Fiss : Adisson will be available Mid-March online and hopefully available in retail stores soon after. Adisson is currently in talks with some amazing stores...ahh...I can't tell you now, but soon, very soon!

What kind of items can we expect to see? T-shirts? Hats? Etc.

Thomas Fiss : Our shirts are so awesome. I still can't believe we're releasing 'em so soon. But yea, some sexy/cute T's, hats, other accessories...we're getting denim and bathing suits ready for upcoming seasons.

What sort of price ranges are we going to see? Is it something everyone is going to be able to afford or is it something we should be saving our money for?

Thomas Fiss : You know me. It's something I want everyone to rock.

What/who inspired the designs? Did the guys [of VFC] inspire any of the designs?

Thomas Fiss : The designs were sketched up by Isaiah and myself. We knew what we wanted.


Where do you hope to see Adisson in a year? Five years? Ten years?

Thomas Fiss : Adisson in a year? Oh man. I hope it lasts long after that, but I'd like to keep it somewhat exclusive.

What do your family/friends have to say about all of this? Are they a huge backing support?

Thomas Fiss : Without my friends and family I wouldn't be doing any of this. I'd especially like to thank my fans/friends...from all the street teamers to supporters, you guys rock, thank you!

How do you think your fans are going to take to the clothes when they see them?

Thomas Fiss : I hope they love them! I did it for them.

When can we expect to be able to start purchasing items?

Thomas Fiss : Mid-March...get ready!
