Looks that Never Need a Makeover

Five fall fashions you can wear year after year
As with all seasons, fall results in new styles and looks hitting the market. Some will be out of style before all the leaves can hit the ground, but others can be saved and worn every autumn for years to come! Here are five looks that have stuck it out over time and will continue to do so forever.

Turtlenecks
These cozy tops with an extra warming neck piece first became been trendy in the 1920s. After a resurgence in the 1950s, they've never really left shelves. Turtlenecks (or Polo necks) come in a variety of styles for both genders, and as long as they are in a neutral or classic color, these pieces can be worn year after year.

Scarves
Scarves need not be limited to winter usage. In the fall they can actually be worn more stylishly with the goal being more about fashion and less about keeping warm. Remember to keep colors on the neutral side as prints and loud colors tend to go in and out of style.

Tall Boots
No, this does not include Uggs. Simple black or brown boots with an average length heel have remained a fall fashion for decades and can instantly compliment most looks. They also look great when paired with dark skirts, dark tights or a fitted jacket.

Fitted Jackets
Bulkiness is for winter. In the fall, you want to keep warm, but a ton of extra layers really isn’t necessary or flattering. Classic looks include jackets in corduroy, denim, tweed and plaid. A fitted jacket is flattering for any figure and goes with just about any type of bottom garment.

Leather Bags
You can’t exactly wear them, but you can wear just about any fall style with them! Leather bags are sturdy and tend to be more spacious which is perfect as the weather gets colder. Colors don’t really matter as long as they are solid since the leather speaks for itself!

With these fall staples, it's safe to say you'll never have to have a wardrobe overhaul. Pick out a few of these for your closet, and you'll be ready for a fashionable fall for seasons to come.
