Leading man of the decade, Justin Timberlake, has been the musical star of all our dreams -- women and men alike, whether or not they’d like to admit it. Kanye West, hip-hop extraordinaire, was the champion of the decade. His acclaim began when he released his debut single “Through the Wire” in 2002 followed by his first album The College Dropout in 2004. He released three albums since then, the latest being 808s & Heartbreak, revealing a new auto-tune sound instead of his usual rapping. Twelve Grammys later, Kanye West is continuing to achieve success.




Along with Kanye, Rihanna, Barbadian pop princess, has been the talk of the past ten years. With countless catchy songs and two albums, Rihanna has gotten everyone on dancefloors up on their feet. This beautiful woman is one of the only two females to collect the most number one singles in the 2000s. Despite scandal with ex-beau Chris Brown, Rihanna has risen above the adversity and continued to be the most fabulous and talented pop singer of the decade.




English alternative rock band Coldplay has topped the charts over the years. Originally gaining success with the release of their debut album Parachutes in 2000, the band has continued to grow in popularity. Nine years and four albums later, lead singer Chris Martin and gang have proven to be lyrically and musically creative in all aspects. With a romantic melodic tone that undoubtedly soothes the soul, Coldplay is a band that is worth all the hype.
